In a letter, Germany’s Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Hubertus Heil, Germany’s Special Representative for the Labour Market Integration of Refugees Daniel Terzenbach and Oleksii Makeiev, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Germany, address Ukrainian refugees. They call attention to the many ways in which refugees receive support for their integration into the labour market. They also point out that working helps with integration into German society. In light of the shortage of skilled labour, the work and skills of Ukrainians in Germany are crucial. They also believe that the skills and experience acquired in Germany will be an asset after a possible return following the end of the war.
