If you have a residence permit for the purpose of temporary protection in Germany, this protection expires if you leave Germany for a reason not of a temporary nature, or if you leave Germany for more than six months. Your foreigners authority may extend this six-month period before it expires if you can provide evidence that your absence from Germany is only temporary.
